SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION
Thin, weak extrusion lines with visible gaps between layers, causing structural brittleness.
POTENTIAL CAUSES
- —Nozzle temperature below filament's required melt flow temperature.
- —Incorrect extrusion multiplier (flow rate) configured in slicer.
- —Partial nozzle clog due to environmental dust or polymer carbonization.
LAB RECOMMENDED ADJUSTMENTS
- ✓Increase nozzle temperature by 5°C to 10°C intervals.
- ✓Calibrate extruder steps (E-steps) and set slicer flow to 98% – 100%.
- ✓Perform a cold-pull cleaning cycle to clear the nozzle throat.
